British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreting
The East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre can offer communication support using Sign Language.
The East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre can arrange for someone who conveys information to deaf people without using voice. Professional lipspeakers are available via the ESHRC for deafened people, depending on availability.
Deafblind Communication Support Worker
The East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre can arrange communication support using manual or block alphabet.
The Centre can hire out loop systems for a meeting or conference of almost any size. Loop systems are only available for hard of hearing people with hearing aids and a T switch on the aid.
A sophisticated infra-red system is available for hire for large or small meetings and people with or without hearing aids.
