Training
You may be surprised to learn that one in seven people in the UK are deaf or hard of hearing - that's 9 million people. There are no immediate visual clues that tell you whether a person is deaf or hard of hearing.
We are a registered Training Centre with accredited tutors for the following courses:
CACDP (Council for the Advancement of Communication with Deaf People) Level 1 Certificate in Developing Awareness and Communication with Deaf and Deafblind People.
CACDP Level 2 Certificate in Communication with Deaf People.
The East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre, in order to meet your requirements, can also offer Deaf Awareness Training.
The East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre in conjunction with Sussex Downs College also run a very popular 3-hour course. This course has been taught to Social Services, East Sussex Fire & Rescue, the National Health Service and local Residential Homes.
